Default Where to buy herring in Anchorage

Is there a place in Anchorage that sells herring for bait at a reasonable price in bigger quantities like 25-50 pounds ? Thank you for any information.

10th and M is good bait but not cheap. Something like $50 for a 20 lb box.

Hmm. I just bought an MVS-31 sealer so, I guess I better start buying bait at Alaska Bait then resealing it in useable bags. Sounds much cheaper. Anything to get my money back out of this new sealer.

Just make sure you buy "this" years catch. I do recall getting baits there's a few times and thy hadn't run out if the prior years stock. Food for thought.

Perhaps no one notices but I have had much better luck with fresh bait.

IMO 10th & M has the best bait...bright and shiny and not burnt like the others.
