    Default Pheasant hunting in Wasilla?

I was driving home two days ago on the KGB, and much to my suprise, a nice Ring Neck Pheasant rooster ran across the road! Is there a farm nearby the softball fields that you can hunt these on?

There is a farm in the Point McKenzie area that raises birds and releases them for hunters. I think its like 20-30 bucks a bird. I've seen several throughout the valley including my sub division that I'm sure folks raise and some escape. Homer seems to have quite a few running around as well.

Ha...!!! I've shot 2 of them now on my property over the years.....head shots with the scoped 22 cal pellet gun....lol

Somebody around here raises them and they get loose from time to time.....
Sheep hunting...... the pain goes away, but the stupidity remains...!!!
