Have a neighbor down on her luck with many things including her boat. I changed the plugs because they were rusted pretty bad and found one gap closed to nil and the other 2 around .40 (spec is .39). So when I found that I figured it was just pumping unburnt mix (and maybe that's so). She hasn't run it enough to know yet, as I say, down on her luck, but I want to cover all my bases. So I'm thinking if this doesn't fix it, check for stuck floats/needles, ruptured fuel pump diaphragm, and make sure the coils and ignition system is working. The top end is fine leak wise, just coming out the exhaust ports (little slit in front and ports on the side). Am I missing anything? Got to get her out fishing for a change of luck.
