    Default 75hp stinger specs

Anybody here know the compression tolerances for an older, early/mid 70's model Jognson stinger?... 3 cyl...... this once has one cylinder checking under 100 on the lower cylinder...

    Thanks..

I searched my OEM manual for my 1975 Johnson 75 horse and find no compression test readings, when I bought this from an older gentleman a couple of yrs. back I believe the compression readings "if" I am not mistaken were around 125 lbs. I don't currently own a compression gage as I loaned mine out a few yrs. back and never got it back. Below 100 lbs is too low. It is not too dificult to disassemble your motor, I did my last Yam. 40 with no experience in 10 hours with just some basic tools and a home-made fly wheel tool. Ripped it down to the crank and put in a complete gasket kit and one new piston with rings. Fired right up.

    Encouraging?
    hope I have helped some.
