    Default Cordova Campgrounds

Are there any public or private campgrounds in/around Cordova? Friend and I are taking the motorhome on the ferry to ride atv's and check out Cordova.

Last I was there (a few years ago) there was one just out of town. Really just on the edge of town heading towards the airport. The federal campground at the end of the road (Million Dollar Bridge area) is presently inaccessible due to a bridge wash out. Not sure when that will be fixed, but probably not this year. That's a real shame too. Watching Childs Glacier calving into the Copper River is what made the trip fun for me. Cordova is a nice place to visit though.

Thanks Jim. Didn't figure there were too many campgrounds out that way. Not sure if we're going to take the truck and tent camp or the motorhome. Looking to do some riding and hiking...

The city campground, with showers, is one mile from town on Whitshed Road. Facilities include RV and tenting sites.
