The water is still fast the further you get downstream. The surge in the late afternoon from the snow melt is still affecting water levels and current speed. I read in the papers that somebody was lost to drowning up there while dredging. A wake up call for everybody, including myself. It turns muddy and comes up fast. Last year we almost lost a 4" dredge, hot sunny day, then around 5-6 pm the water turned brown and came up really fast. Three tree stumps came barreling downstream at us. We scrambled to get both dredges out of the water in time. Be careful out there.
