    Default Glacier Creek

John and I headed to Glacier Creek, which is a class II trip, that starts by Crow Creek mine road, on the tram trail, and ends at the bridge right in Girdwood. After about a half a mile on the tram trail you can access the creek, which is nestled in a slate rock type of canyon. The creek has several quick turns, some fun splashy waves, but never reaches full blown class III in any section we boated.

A good creek for a brave beginner, or anyone else who just wants to boat something easy, but fun, with good interesting features, and clean lines. In comparison; the first rapid of redgate is harder than anything we encountered on Glacier Creek, but Glacier is more interesting and scenic.

The flow was almost 27ft on the guage, and the water was slightly opaque with a blue-ish tint.
