    Default side x side trails?

Just bought a Ranger xp 800 and was wondering what trails in the Mat Su Valley area would be good to ride on to learn the ins and outs of my first side by side. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There is always Knik River area but that can get iffy at times. Check out the Sutton area or King river. Depending on how far out you want to go there are lots of trails futher out. One good area is Eureka, but that is a little futher out.

Bear cat stated some good ones. I would also drive the ditches around town to get used to it. Buffalo mine area has some good trails that will take you to sutton.

Not many trails in the valley but there's always the KGB and Fairview power lines, Church road up to Baldy which I don't recommend as a beginner.

King River is fun but more technical the farther In you go, it's 30 minutes out of Palmer so doable after work

Boulder is a fav of mine.

    Eureka kicks ass!

Knik is ok, just not my thing as the silt gets into everything.

We will be out Ranger'n this weekend if you need folks to rally with.

If you want a real easy trail to allow you to get comfortable with your rig try the Eklutna Lake trail, it is basically a gravel road. ATV's are only allowed on certain days of the week so check that out before planning.
