Q. What is the definition of "single hook"? Is it legal to use a single treble hook on, say, a kwik fish for kings? Or does it have to be a single pointed hook?

A. The term single hook is defined under 5 AAC 75.995(26) and states " a fish hook with only one point with or without a barb". The term "multiple hook" is defined under 5 AAC 75.995(16) and means " a fish hook with two or more points with or without barbs". In areas of the state where single hooks area required you can only have one hook with one point. A treble hook or similar style hook has two or more points and would not be allowed in a single hook area.
