Default Upper Kenai float trip Questions

Hello there are about 5 of us who want to float the upper Kenai from the lake to Jims and none of us have ever floated it. Is there anything we need to know that is important about the trip??? We have all floated other rivers (Little Su, Willow creek , Big su, talkeetna, etc...) we will be using 8 and 9' catarafts, We want to go withing the next few weeks(june 2012) and any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you

You will have no problems, 2/3 of the way down you might want to stay away from the braids on the left.

Princess "rapid" & then after you go under they bridge the river makes a right hand turn, watch out for the rock on the left. There was a family that flipped a raft there a couple years ago in high water.
