    Default broken antler question

If a bull has a broken antler on one side that meets the spike definition, is that bull legal in a spike fork area? The regs seem to read that is in only illegal in portions of ynit 1 and 3.
I remember reading something here in the forum but cant seem to find it.

    Was just curious

I think they added that distinction in Units 1 and 3 because there was an above average number of moose being shot each year with "broken" antlers.

I can't tell you how many people I talked to that shot a 2 browtiner with a broken antler on one side.
I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I would say that it would be legal except in unit 1 and 3 as you stated based on my interpretation of the regs. I would recommend posing the question to ADF&G directly just to be sure, but looks pretty clear to me.

A good question for Ask the Trooper Forum. Though don't expect a quick Answer!
