Default Seeking Advice from resident Fly anglers

Greetings from Toronto. I am writing to request a little help. I am arriving in Anchorage on June 22nd and staying two nights, then leaving for wonder lake to get there on Monday. Thursday I am driving down to the Kenai for more fishing.
Could any forum members recommend locations to fly fish including names ?
I am driving around Alaska and car camping mainly so I can go into basically any area I wish.

Thanks in advance and drinks on me if I run into you anywhere in Alaska !

Greetings fellow Torontonian! I would second the roadside angler. It has all rivers and lakes that can be driven to with what species of fish to catch as well as run timings. This is a great book to get you on some rivers/streams. They also sell them everywhere, from Freds to walgreens.

Thanks Guys ! I will buy the book and just wet the line as much as I can.
I am using a Sage one 5wt and may have to buy a 8-9 wt while there.

Just went trawling Saturday on Lake Ontario and caught 25-30 LB( 11.3-13.6 KG) Chinooks. I am trying to warm up!

That's great. I haven't caught them in lake ontario but have in the humber river. Pretty cool to see those fish jump that waterfall.

If you want to also try for salmon, probably your best bet would be for reds in the Cooper Landing area.....
Sheep hunting...... the pain goes away, but the stupidity remains...!!!
