Exclamation Transporting Travel Trailer to Alaska

Just purchased my folks' travel trailer for a deal that was simply too good to pass up.

Unfortunately, it's currently parked in Oregon, so I need to figure out a cost-effective way of getting it up here before the salmon season kicks into high gear.

After receiving a reasonable price quote to transport it by cargo ship from Tacoma to Anchorage, I'm inclined to go that route.

Before pulling the trigger though, would appreciate hearing your advice, recommendations or experiences regarding this logistical challenge. Thanks.

If you are talking about Carlisle, it is hard to beat their prices! I have never used them for TT's, but my company ships containers out of Tacoma with Carlisle as they do a good job with fair pricing. With the price of fuel, they might even be cheaper than driving it up yourself.

How big is it and by what date do you need it in Alaska?
