    Default Chitna or Glennallen permit?

Allright here's my dilemma, looking to head down Wednesday the 13th but not having dipped at Chitna before, I'm not sure which to choose. I am taking my buddy and his kids with our family, he has dipped there before but it was hiking down the canyon. I have the option to take either the boat or wheelers. I am an experienced river runner and have enough boat for the Copper so was thinking to take the boat. I'm just not sure what would be better out of the boat, looking to have the kids aboard so they can get the fun and, I feel, be safer in the boat. I understand the limits are different just looking for the best option for the boat. Any one know how the launch is, soft sand bar, is it sideways in the river or in a slough? Any info is greatly appreciated

We launched above the bridge and it's soft stickey mud. The river is now rising though and where we launched at is now underwater. In a slough. Rock bank is erroded too much to launch there as we had in the previous years.
