Default Question on SE Brown Bears

Lots of brownies on the ABC islands, seen my share around Hoonah through the years. Certianly no shortage of fish streams. So why are SE bears not a big as their Kodiak, or Kenai and AK Penn brothers?

If I had to make an uneducated guess I'd say due to population densty and available space. Limited number of square miles for them and competition for food. Yep lots of fish streams but that window is not open all that long.
