Default 2012 Bear Bait Trail Cam Pictures

Figure i'd start a new thread so we can all share our trail cam pics. For me, one of the best parts of bear baiting is reviewing the pictures and seeing what the bears do in their environment. Very cool stuff! Of course I don't mind some rugsteaks either.

Here are some pics of the brother/buddy bears(both boars) at my bait. Had hundreds of pics of them together, very fun to watch. Might take one or both of them eventually but want to keep them around another week or so to attract more bears to the bait.

I found the amazing Alaskan Bushman. Almost three weeks now and nothing but moose. Not like that's a bad thing. I know where I will be in September. Attachment 60588

Checking the camera is one of my favorite things about baiting. Had a nice picture of a sow with a tiny cub last night. I think it was the smallest cub I've ever seen at a bait.

I still can't get the picture to work but I posted it to my family meat pole album. I am pulling my bait this weekend as well. I am quickly running out of time and I will be back next year hopefully with better results. Good luck to all that are sticking it out till the deadline.

    Default a couple pics

Here's a couple from our site. This is the first year we used a trail camera. Next year we'll set it up a bit closer to the bait for better pics.

trail cam 3 077.jpgtrail cam3 046.jpg Only had two black bears on the station this year for very limited periods, I suppose that these two might have had something to do with that. Look at the size of the knoggin on the one that is standing up!

We caught a video of one of our bears "pole dancing" - taking a stab at posting a link here:
