Default Great afternoon on new boat

Just bought a Bayliner 3270 and brought it home to Hoonah on Friday. Took the family out yesterday in Port Frederick for a few hours. We saw lots of whales, porpoises and sea lions. We dealt with some scattered showers, but the water was flat and our cockpit is covered. My 12 year old put the first fish on the boat, a 77 lb halibut. Great way to spend a couple of hours. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Nice lines on the boat...I like that hardtop with the tender over the fishing deck! A fine fishing day with that halibut...only takes one like that to make a day!

Great Boat! 32' on the outside and 42' on the inside. (How did they do that?) Funky prop shaft angle, but those motors are easy to access. Fresh water from a sink in the cockpit is worth gold. The prop tunnels suck lots of crud under the boat and into the raw water pick-ups, so redo the fittings so you can easily remove the hose to get a straight shot to the screens (and have a coat hanger or other poking device handy). The boat is stern heavy, so it will run faster and more efficiently at mid to high speed with the tabs all the way down. With practice you will be able to run in a 3' following sea.

    Happy boating and fishing,

Thanks for all of the comments. SE AK is amazing, we're really looking forward to some exploring and fishing this summer. Can't wait for the weekend.
