    Default Regs clarification

Just want to make sure I am reading this right.

The sustina drainage is closed to bait except the deshka, which still allows bait but retention of kings is still limited to 2.

Does that sound right? I was reading through the EO but it contained somewhat contradictory information the way I was interpreting it. Just want to make sure I am right before heading out.

The annual limit for all of Susitna drainage is two, including Deshka. The daily limit remains at one.

That part I get. The part that is confusing is the bait. It says the deska is excluded in one portion of the EO and then another it sounds like all sustina drainages are no bait. This is mainly where my confusion is coming in.

Deshka is open to bait, and trebble hooks. No other river isopen for this in the susitna drainage. THe only other place open to bait and trebbles is the tailrace.

Good luck, they are in on the deshka!

I don't think you will have much of a problem. The fish are going to start showing up in other places this week, so people will start hitting other rivers.

Lets hope so. They seem a little behind right now at least in a few places.

I hear you there, we fished willow this morning for a little over 4 hours without even seeing a roll. This time last year we were already catching fish in most of the parks streams. Hopefully they show this week.

Look at the weir counts, that might tell you some thing. Also keep in mind it doesn't take them very long to get to the weir either.
