Default Electric trolling motor IS allowed on Mirror Lake

Just thought I would share this information. Today I called the Municipality of Anchorage Parks and Recreation (Eagle River office) to ask if I am allowed to use an electric tolling motor on Mirror lake with a canoe. She said, “yes, electric motors are allowed on Mirror Lake and that is the only motor allowed.”

I didn’t ask about other lakes, but I would imagine the same is true for other parks they manage.

Now I just need to wait until the ice thaws.

    Default Electric motors

I don't know of ANY lakes that don't permit an electric motor. There are many that restrict engines to 10hp or less, but no limit on electrics.
