Default Anyone See these Pike pics yet?

This is huge! I don't know where this is but I got it in an email today that said 69.7 miles above Pilot Station (doubtful) but the pike looks legit...(if it is, then I'd say it was probably elsewhere cuz this would have made headlines!!!)

    Enjoy

The first pic is on the ADF&G website, you might call them and find out some details. Reminds me of a big ling coming after the black rockfish by the boat!

    Default Pike

There are a lot of pike in the sloughs along the Yukon. Some of them are trophy waters. Your problem is how to get to them. Fly to a rural village, rent a boat, transportation of gear, buying gas. If you think gas is high here, the middle Yukon, Nulato down 100 miles or so is really high. I was paying $3.00 with a 5-gallon daily limit 6 years ago. Everything is barged and these villages are the end of the line.

Reminds me of some of the monsters I hooked into on lake Superior around Ilse Royal. Great place if your ever in the area and get the chance to go, do it!

The first time I saw them it was supposedly from a lake in Canada - Either way it is a nice pike.

I have seen both of those pictures too! the first one is from Alaska, and to tell you the truth I don't know where it is, my guess...Minto! Now the second photo, that guy don't look too happy for some odd reason, looks like he doesn't like to touch fish, when it was sent to me it said Rainey Lake, Minnesota. Its amazing how information can get twisted, changed, exaggerated, etc. to benefit a person or place. My guess on the second photo...some big lake with a nuclear power plant.......K
