Default New Boats test run check

So Memorial Day weekend got to put the new North River Seahawk 24.8Ft fitted with the 250HP diesel into Prince William Sound. Was a little let down buy the speed of the boat, was told, and expected it to cruse at 30-34 MPH. The reality I was only able to cruising at 26-30 MPH on the smoother water when I could find it lol. However the gas mileage what a very pleasant surprise, I was getting between 5.1 to 5.7 GPH on the three days of running. Was able to go to the light house on Hinchenbrook and return to Valdes for about $180 at 26-30 MPH. It was fitted with the Vertical Mount electric pot puller, thatís an awesome way to pull pots.

What type of desiel is it? Outdrive? Jet? The fuel economy seems like it was good.
