    Got a few bears this weekend. I love seeing pics so figured I would do my part!

    Nice! Did you by chance take any close ups of the smaller one's head? The grays and blues streaks were pretty cool to see in person.

    This is the closest one I have. Doesn't do it justice. It has character. I love how the front canines were grooved from the under bite.

    Hey man, the one was 6'5" squared. The better part is that both bears were thick. Great hides and will produce some decent poundage.

    Cool. Yeah post or PM the weights of the boneless meat. Did you guys take the whole carcass for butchering or just the required meat? The big one should have around 75#'s of boneless if whole thing was deboned. The average 5' to 5.5' bears yield around 45-55#'s of meat. Always curious is all and have been around a ton of bears, as have you.

    I'll PM you once I have the weight. It never gets old I love May in PWS.

    Nice report, great pics!
    I'm headed out on Friday for a four day bear hunt in the Night Island Passage vicinity... leaving out of Seward. Hopefully we'll have as much luck as you guys did!

    and was gonna say something about having your meat grinder in the galley of the boat or something,....
