    Default Deshka Action??

I've seen a few fish reports with a handful of fish, imagion there are 100 boats for every kning caught at the mouth. Any accurate information there now? I am going down this weekend, I'll be the shiny airboat surrounded by 100 jets boats near the mouth, but will also go upriver. . . Bud

Seems to be picking up. I think the boat traffic is not as heavy as it will get. From what I can tell seems fairly light. After this weekend it is going to pick up dramatically.

I fished it today 6am till 11am. About 20-25 boats is what I counted at the mouth. Rainy all day. Saw about 10 or so boated. Few jacks as well as a few touching 35-40lb. Just a rainbow on our boat about 16" released in good health. With two of us fishing, couple hits no hook ups.

Same thing as everywhere else, Roe, spinners, and plugs.

You'll see many lure types & sizes. Pixies, a variety spinners, flatfish, spin-n-glows etc.... & many colors.
Usually bright colors, Red , Pink , orange, green, silver, gold.
Everyone has their favorites, but I think it's more is your lure in front of a fish that wants to bite.
To give away my favorite would be giving away fishing secrets

I bought a Mepps variety pack & have had success & when I want to, I can change to something different:

I was there Sunday afternoon. I saw two small ones caught in about 4 hours. I also saw three others people were holding up as they were getting ready to leave. It was slow. BTW the troopers were out and checked every boat there.

Appreciate it guys. Pretty much similar stuff as the kenai. I'll just have to pick up some wiggle warts. I assumno diver with any of the plugs? I can run a diver with the row though. Do most on the deshka just anchor up? Pumped to get out to fish and explore. Thanks again

No divers needed current is slow. Most an or and cast or set bait on bottom. The right cure is the ticket.

Yea, find a spot and anchor up and cast out. Just try and have some room around you. More than once I have had a wiggle wart hit my back from another boat. After the first time, the wart was mine.

Hit the Deshka Friday night and Saturday morning. Water level had dropped
significantly from last weekend on both the Big Su and Deshka. In fact helped a
boater who was high and dry on a sandbar get free. Anyway fished 2 hrs on Friday
saw maybe 8 caught at the mouth. Mostly small 8 to 10 lbs. Fished Sat morning
and landed a 30 lber in 45 minutes. Saw about 10 caught before I was done for
the day. 50 boats at the mouth was getting packed with fishermen.

We boated three small fish ranging from six to pry 15 pounds. Lots of small fish in the mouth. Action was better this Saturday than last but average size seems to have diminished. What was the story in the guy who grounded his boat? Felt bad not helping but my proped whaler wasn't the tool.

Guy was driving in at 1am on friday ended up getting stuck on the sandbar maybe a mile or so down from Deshka landing. I was helping out at around 8am. The guy was stuck all night. It took 2 boats to pull him out and 4 people pushing. Water was dropping while he was stuck.
