    Default Southcentral Chums

    Anyone know what general time frame the chum start entering the small streams in southcentral?

    You'll want to get 'em early while they are still as bright as possible. I can usually raise a few at the mouth of a Parks stream as early as 2nd or 3rd week in July. The 2 streams I fish open back up July 14 this year. Chums will smash a swung streamer. Though the overall numbers of chums will be low that early, the quality of the fish is higher and the numbers of fellow anglers is lower as the silvers haven't really gotten rolling yet. Chums are great fighters on the line, a ton of fun.
