Borealis Marine Survey did mine. His name is Tom Cocklin, lives in Kasilof, but did my inspection in Wasilla. 907-283-5349

I am in the market to upgrade - do these folks typically charge by the foot? How much for their inspection? Do they come to the boat or do you need to take the boat to them?

I used Mike Madar (250-5727). I think he charged me $200 for the appraisal when we refinanced this spring. Stand up guy and he will come to your house.

I went to the only shop in town that I could get the service from last friday. I had to wait about an hour until he could get freed up - 250$ for 30 minutes or work is a pretty good rate if you are on the recieving end.

I also found it very weird that the man said my 18' searunner is no longer made (2006 is mine) and he had to compare it to a sportsman model.......definately not accurate.

If you want to know who I went to PM me.

Overall - it accomplished what I wanted and he appraised it at exactly what I wanted......
