Nice I hooked up something big on the 12th not too far from there and I swore it was a king but my trout tackle was not strong enough to bring it in. That makes me feel better that I did not hook and loose a trophy trout.

I seen a couple of pictures of some kings caught in a set net near Beluga on tuesday. I havent dusted off my gear yet but am sure thinking about it.

Apparently the news just listed the Deska as a hot spot for this weekend. I am guessing maybe one or three get caught, but far from being a hotspot. I did clean up my reels though, and am inventorying tackle tonight. I will be headed up there next weekend. This weekend my guess would be the Kasilof producing a few.

First king of the year was in the salt throwing a Pixee while at work in Port Graham on 4/16, 30#. First freshwater king boated 5/15 24# chrome buck on the Kasilof pulling plugs.
