    Default Haul Road Caribou

I'm planning a trip for August 5-17 with some guys. Some of us have bow's some of us are rifle hunters. From what I have read and have been studying is that around this time of year the caribou are typically further north. I've been eyeballing the maps around pump station #3. Does that seem far enough north for early august?

I have hunted there then, bow and rifle, killed a few but am by no means an expert. I wouldn't be too concerned with where the caribou are as they are always on the move. Truthfully just drive till you find them, it is as easy as that I wouldn't worry too much about 'planning' on where to find them. From Toolik to Deadhorse is a good search area! Have fun.

Gooch has it right, they will be where they want to be. You just have to drive around until you find them.
