Default Picking up a Wilderness pamico 135 tandem...

Any owners of this model kayak out there?
Picking one up tomorrow lightly used...
$200 looks like a great buy for this two person/solo convertible.

    Any thoughts appreciated....

Sounds like a great deal buy it. Buy the spray skirt, you'll stay a lot drier if you use a kayak paddle. I paddle my flatwater kayaks with a single blade canoe paddle to keep drier. If you move the front seat all of the way back, it will handle better when you're solo. You should be able to use the spay skirt reversed (that is front/back swaped) when you move the front seat back. If you sew some implosion bars into the spray skirt, you'll be surprised how big of water you can paddle these in. I have a keowee II from perception and I've paddled it in 3-4 foot standing waves. This will be a great long trip kayak.

Thanks Springer, appreciate the insights; at 6'6'' I'm thinking solo paddling will be quite roomy. Wife and I will use it together as well.
I'll look into the spray skirt, sounds like sound advice.

I'll be picking this up this afternoon, sounds like the folks will negotiate from $200 a bit but no paddles are included.
I'm jazzed about such a nice boat so reasonable; looks like these retail around $1100 and up...

    Got it!

Should be a hoot setting this thing up for fishing fun.
Seller tossed in some dolly wheels too...

I'm new to kayaking so I'll post some updates as I go.

Sweet deal, If you price out those dolly wheels at REI, you'll be amazed how much they cost.
