    Thumbs up

Jon Voight the actor was in my raft shop last winter... he used my rental and repairs mezzanine area for a dressing/warm-up room. He asked about all the rafts, frames, oars, paddles, etc. all lined up so organized, what they were made of, places in Alaska to float, and what I do. I was repairing a raft while he was in, yet it was all I could help but not to play a little Banjo tune joke on 'im.

My wife drug me kicking and screaming from Northern California years ago to go live in Purgatory...i mean the Texas Hill country. Actually, for Texas the Hill Country is not bad. Not much rafting there so I amused myself kayaking some of the local rivers and backwaters. It wasn't long before I added a river knife to the lash tab of my PFD.

Thankfully we both found AK was a great fit for our family.

Another river movie maybe worth watching is "Dam ned River" (sorry the filter will not let me put the true title) about a crazy raft guide on the Zambezi. It's not the greatest, but NetFlix used to carry it. Good footage of the mighty Zambezi.
