Thread: Outboard jet foot position question??

Default Outboard jet foot position question??

I have to have a transom riser built for a 14 foot big Jon boat to run an outboard jet. The boat is a flat bottom jon. In relation to the bottom of boat, where should the front edge of the jet foot be positioned? Thanks.

There is a pretty good description in their manual.

Run a straight edge down the bottom of the boat. Your straight edge should be even with the leading pin that holds in your grates. On a 14' jon boat you will probably want to keep the motor trimmed down as low as you can get it, and you may want to think about putting the gas tank as far forward as possibly. Have fun.
