And this is that guy that started the thread on stalking bears a few short days ago! Way to go, Kotton. That's the way to get it done. Time for a few details and the makings of 3 successful stalks. Glad it all came together for you guys. Persistence pays great dividends!

Congrats man! So how do those stalks affect your stalk/success rates?! So much for 10-1 huh? I have only seen 3 areas that thick like that. Won't mentioned them, but do believe I know where you were. One more ?, gun hunt I take it? Pretty cool though to go 3 for 3 in a day. Did you all pack out your own or take 3 guys per bear to pack out on 3 totally seperate stalks?

Well Done Kotton, sounds, and looks like, "a great day in the woods,"........to understate it a bit

Do you only make sausages out of them? Indian Valley strongly recommended roasts, strap steaks and bacon out of mine. I hope I'm not making a mistake?

I have read in more than a few places that black bear feet are "the best conceivable delight" when cooked in the coals of a fire overnight. Still haven't tried it though...

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that completely unlawful? There are people out there that will eat the meat and I am sure would appreciate it.

Correct, prior to the first of June the meat of the shoulders, hind quarters and backstraps must be salvaged. Nice job on the bears by the way!
