Well part of it works. I wonder how you get the photos to show up in the thread?

Here is the front sight hood with the optic rod and the random skylights I drilled in the hood.

It is an NECG detachable rear sight.
I coated the rifle with bake-on ceramic engine block paint.
The scope is a Leupold 2.5 x 7 on warne rings.

To make the photo appear in the thread, you need to have the photo hosted on a website. Then you can type [ img ]the url the photo is located at[ /img ] (you need to remove the spaces between the [ img ])and it will show up in the body of the post.

Or just attach one picture per post.

Very nice. I wish that the Hawkeye came with the Ruger sights.

This was just a straight stainless M-77MKII , the new front sight is a Remington ramp that is screwed on. (Arron in Kenai) The fiber optic rod was added and then I had to drill a bunch of holes in the hood to make the optic rod work in low light.

I am going to add another set of sling attach points on the left side of the forestock and one back by the left side of the buttstock. Then I can sling it across my back Cav style. OR, I can use both slings to carry it backpack style while climbing.

I am going to jewel the bolt one of these nights. I already slicked up the bolt track and the feed ramp.
