    Default jigging rods

I am going to pick up a couple new jigging rods today. I am going to try out the Okuma Andros, it looks like a sweet rod. I am also going to get another trevala XXH, they are both on sale for a really fair deal. I need to pick up 1 reel, not sure which one I am going to get, the Okuma cedros lever drag looks sweet, but too spendy right now. I have a Okuma Soltera on one of my other rods and it is a pretty good reel for the price.

The shimano tld 15 is a pretty good reel for the money, a bit light in the drag but it can be boosted by swapping out the bellville washers.

I just picked up the Okuma rod and paired it with the Avet MX series reel. I have heard nothing but great reports on the Avet reels so I am anxious to give it a try.

What kind of price can you get on the Okuma rod?

I picked up the Okuma andros rod and put a shimano tyrnos reel on it, I decided against getting another trevala even though the good sale price available. $119 for the trevala xxh at trustworthy in case anyone is looking.

I have an accurate reel on a bone yard jig rod. Love the reel, how ever any work on it has to be sent into the factory.
Lookinng on getting an avet reel for my new jig rod.
Jigging I try to get it light and small. The saves your arm from being worn out by the end of the day.

Just bought two Okuma Cedros speed jigs with Charter Special 1000's on them. Absolutely the best jigging rods I have fished.

Let us know what you think of the Andros. Well constructed rod...just wondering how it acts with a couple pounds on it. Being even lighter in weight than the Cedros it is an interesting option.
