    Default Topnotch CNC jet foot?

Anyone running one of these? I have seen the rockproof jets but these look a little different with wings molded in. I have heard mixed reviews on some of the poly jets so just ordered a new cast-aluminum one with welded wings direct from Wooldridge but I will admit that this one looks interesting!

That does look nice - gotta love their disclaimer though... "Top Notch CNC Machining Inc. does not recommend running your jet outboard in less water than is safely required to clear all underwater obstacles." Well then you wouldn't be jet boating, would you?!?!

I was ready to pull the trigger on one of those rockproof foots back when I had a OB. Ended up with a inboard instead. After seeing the abuse the bottom of my jet boat has endured with UHMW and now driving the air boat over dry land, logs and gravel bars with no damage to the UHMW other than scratches I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of those foots. UHMW is amazing stuff.

I ordered one from them a couple weeks ago and it should be here soon. I'll write about it again on the forum after I give it some abuse. In the mean time I'm excited to try it out; to me it's a product that seems to make sense.

Yes I have. I ordered the XL size and use it sometimes with my Suzuki DF140. Off the top of my head here are some impressions:

    Pros:
-seems to be very well made
-has integrated side fins that are pretty stout and can't be bent up
    -slightly lighter than stock foot

    Cons:
-the aluminum grate bars that come from Top Notch seems to be a lower grade metal compared to Outboard Jets. They bend a little more easily and may let rocks past more easily; I would recommend to just order the grate bars from Outboard Jets, they are interchangeable with the Top Notch bars

-since the fins are integrated, they can't be easily removed.

-since the fins are thick compared to Wooldridge welded or Outboard Jets removable fins, I think they create a little more drag

Overall it seems to be a quality product, I have no big complaints, and am getting good results. I am keeping it no matter what, even if just to keep as a backup in the boat. Since it's UHMW it rattles around less than metal when I store it in the bow, and will be good to have if I ever "explode" my stock metal jet foot.
