Default Saw people fishing this weekend

I saw several people fishing the Kenai this weekend right by the mouth of the lake. What are they fishing for and what do I need to get set up for that. I even saw some splashing from a fish on the line. I wish I would have walked down to check it out.

Lots of people fish there mid winter, its about the only place you can and catch stuff. Lots of silvers all winter (your not exactly suppose to catch them though) and a few rainbows/ dollies and I'd bet a laker or two
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

Trout /Dolly Varden fishing , you need a 6 or 8 wt. flyrod, floating line, flourocarbon leader and some flesh flies, globugs, egg sucking leeches and some clouser minnows. Fishing is still slow , but they're in there, you might also get into some old spawned out silvers. Three weeks ago we got into some silvers with some serious fight in them.
