Default Last minute POW Spring bear hunt help

Heading out to POW this week for black bear hunt and looking at the weather it looks like it going to still be cold. This is our first black bear hunt and have heard that the cold will make for a more challenging hunt due to lack of movement. Is this true and does anyone have tips on hunting stratagies in this type of situation. Thanks for your help.

The harder you hunt, the luckier you get . . .

Your bear won't care at all about the cold temperature. If it gets too warm, he may decide to nap through the heat of the day, but the cold won't slow him down even a little bit. He loves it.

Windy as heck this week it looks like and a bit chilly. Bears are moving though, my Anchorage steelhead guys are here right now, killed two lunkers last year but they haven't seen too much so far. My two fellas last week passed on a few bears and saw a few others but nothing big enough to get them excited. Side note they are finding good steelies which is their main focus anyway so that's good. Stay out, enjoy the island, and hopefully you'll be successful.

They do seem late to move .... can't blame them in this weather.
