    Default Lake Lucille is open

Just thought I would let everyone know in case they want to get the boat wet before the Big-Su opens

I called the city of Wasilla and they said it wasn't going to be open until the 15th. Hopefully Jeeper is right. I think I am still going to take a look because i am just itching to float the new boat.

Just came from there. Is closed. Gate to park is open, but concrete blocks in the road to lake.

The boat ramp on Lake Street is open. That is off of E. Railroad Ave off of Main (turn off of Main by Three Rivers Fly Shop).

What kind of boats have you guys launched there this year? I have never launched there and have a hewescraft 18 sportsman with a prop. Is the lake deep enough? New to boating... Thanks

He's right, this particular launch is deeper than most other lakes. I wouldn't worry to much about the depth except where the map at http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm...ail&LakeID=145 shows the borough campground, that is the shallowest area. The rest of the lake although shallow, is flat and shouldn't be an issue.

Was out on Finger Lake Tuesday eve. had to motor through slush ice at launch bigger section of lake ice free. Fingers still had ice.
