    Question

I dunno what to think about such videos. My dad used to take me pheasant hunting back in the '50s when I was a boy growing up in Michigan. We hunted wild pheasants in Michigan's "thumb" region, driving up from Detroit in the early morning hours to be there in time for first light. Area farmers would let us hunt their farms just for the asking. Hunt all day, sandwiches out of paper bags, a thermos of coffee, soda pop for the kids, a few dead birds, and drive home in the early evening with the dog asleep in the back seat.

I think such videos are a parody of what I experienced, almost a form of soft porn if you will. The video is, to my mind, a little bit sad . . a bit of buffoonery that reduces hunting to movies of kill shot after kill shot. That's certainly not what I remember.

    To each his own, I guess . . .
