    Default Kenai LK open?

Leaves are starting to bud in Eagle River hoping the lake opens before leaves bud at Kenai usally 1 or 2 weeks behind. After
leave open black bears are tough to spot.

Not quite open as of last nite. Might be close by this weekend but its been cold down here. I think it will be soon , but not looking very good for the weekend right now. Its open down at the outlet and all the way to the first bay. The rest of the lake is open along the edge and large openings in the lake itself.

Yah, I think it will be a while yet. It's been in the low 20's every morning here by the lake, with fresh ice on the open water along the edges.

As of tonite, Sunday, the lake is open from Quartz Crek campground down to the bridge. Above the landing is still some rotten ice. But you can launch and run down to the bridge and back.

Just took a walk down to the lake and there is ice from Ptarmigan creek south, the rest of the lake looks open. Still couldn't launch from the Primrose ramp, but I'll bet it won't be long.

Well it's pretty much totally open this morning. We had some pretty high winds last night and it pushed what remained of the ice onto the east shore.

Thanks for the update, is it starting to green up, are the birch leaves budding?
