Angry Thank you for leaving your campfire going... on the Chena River

Thank you to whoever was driving a new grayling boat for leaving your campfire going on the Chena River. It was less than a mile from my cabin and started smoldering into the grass by the time we saw it to put it out. I can only imagine what would have happened with everything so dry right now!! It would have been so hard for you to get water to put it out yourself...a mere 8 feet away. I also appreciate you leaving your trash for me to clean up as well!! You a a true outdoorsman!! Please continue to use and abuse our great state!! Nothing like starting the first major wildfire in Fairbanks!

I am reminded of a wildfire started through carelessness back in the eighties about this time of year that burned up a lot of the Chena Ridge area. It cost the perp a lot of money.

I wish I would have got numbers but they were gone when we came back down and realized their fire was still burning. I'll be on the lookout this summer!!

Happens all the time down here in the valley. The foreign tourists that do raft trips are often the guilty party from my experience.
Sucks some people have no respect or they are that dumb.
