Default Buying an Alweld in lower 48 - couple questions

Bought a new truck in Texas and wanted to buy a 16' alweld tunnel hull for a second jet boat. I currently own an Alweld.

I thought while I was driving through, I could go to Arkansas and buy an alweld. Looking at their website, I can't find the boats we have/use in Alaska (Boat Shop). Is there a special alweld they make for Alaska?

Also, I haven't run a 16' Alweld but I ran a 16' Lowe with a jet. Nice little boat with a 50HP. What power options should I consider for the 16'? How wide of 16' boat? I was thinking 16-52 but I don't know how the different widths will effect handling. Anyone out there with a nice setup willing to share some hints?

    Thanks

The Alwelds at the Boat Shop are custom built to their specs. If you want to save freight they will order it and you can bring it back. Its not the first time. That way its set up right.
