Thread: crankcase ventilation filtration systems?

  1. #1

    Default crankcase ventilation filtration systems?

I've got a diesel inboard and I'm getting a lot of oily residue in the engine compartment. I'm thinking about installing a Racor CCV crankcase ventilation system to clean it up.

Has anybody used one of these systems before? Have any thoughts/suggestions to share?

    Thanks in advance.

Yup had one on my 41P in the bowpicker, they work great and they can be plumbed back into the crankcase. I installed a couple on some other boats with the 41's and they cleaned up the blowby mess nicelyDEC racor crankvent.jpg
