    Default Ship Creek Kings

I just read on AOJ private angler reports that a king or several have been spotted in Ship Creek under the pedestrian bridge. Time for all the urban anglers to get after em. I'll be casually perusing for fish a littler further north this weekend.

If so that is pretty early! I wonder if they are kings or something else. Cant wait for the opener so I can start whacking some fish.

I don't believe it, has to be a joke. I bet we still have at least 3-4 weeks before they show up.

You sir are correct. Well I think I know what I will be doing sunday. I will find out if there are fish in there or not and report back. Been wanting to bet out and make a few cast with the new reel and rod anyway and this will give me an excuse since the lakes arent gonna unfreeze anytime soon.

Went down today mostly to play with the new bait caster reel. Didnt see so much as single roller. Talked to a few people out there one of which said he saw a few rollers the other day. I suspect they were probably ducks swimming under the water as they do sometimes. No fish to speak of yet but it was a nice day and it gave me an excuse to get out of the house and play with the new gear. Few more weeks and we should be on our way.

I scouted from the dam to the mouth today at low tide(2:30PM), in full sun. No fish rolling, no anglers.

Gonna hit it tomorrow night for the PM tide. If they are all the way up to the deshka already there should be one or two plunking around in ship.

ok the deshka is not hot……….channel 2 is full of bs, I don't know where or who tells them this stuff. There is always fish in there this time of year, however they ARE FAR AND FEW APART. Every ones knows the run doesn't peak until june.

Went down there tonight. Not much going on. Had a solid bump on my line, tried to set it but nothing. A guy fishing next to me caught a very very small cod. Gonna wait another few days before trying again.
