    Default Almost 400 shrimp :) and a Yellow eye

    Just got back for our first time shrimping out of Whittier in the new (Used to me ) boat. Got on the water Monday night came back today almost 400 shrimp and a Yellow eye Glass calm for 2 days and today was H*** getting pot off the botom with the swells and wind. Thanks Steve the pots and bait worked dropped the pots 500ft. Thanks Brian for the info but that spot had so many bouys there I went elsewhere.First night anchoring in shotgun cove or anywhere for that matter Got 0 sleep lol!!! finally got to sleep at 5:30 am woke up at 8 and 20 boats parked there doing a oil response drill

    Sorry that my spot was less than a secret, Roger, but that's the way it generally goes that close to Whittier. It sounds like you didn't need my help, though. Heck, next time it sounds like I need to ask you for advice! Congrats on a great couple of days.

    I went out of Whittier Sunday and Monday and saw about 4 feet of snow still. Didn't see any bears attempting to plow through.

    There are bears out right now. Probably not many, but my buddy spotted one near Blackstone Sunday afternoon. Still tons of snow there though.
