Does your rig have a tunnel?? Mine does and I can use a CMC, with the tunnel it just has enough to work without changing bolt holes.

Here is a link a Googled.

You could also check out Bob's Machine Shop http://www.bobsmachine.com/Products

I have an 1852 riveted hull and wanted a jack plate to be able to switch back and forth from prop to jet. Their manual Versa-Jack had the least amount of set-back with the greatest amount of vertical adjustment. Well built, easy to install, easy to use and adjust (only requires one wrench). They also offer hydraulic units as well, but I stuck with the manual for the sake of simplicity. I couldn't be happier.

I had a manual, it sucked big-time. True it was simple, but taking the time to adjust from top-to-bottom...not any more. CMC just doesn't cut the mustard. They used to make a unit that had 10" or 12" (I think), vertical lift, but they couldn't sell enough to make money on them, at least that is what the company rep told me. I found out about these lifts because there is one fellow here in town that has one, and won't sell it, so called CMC. They refused to sell me the parts to build one though they still service the units.

All you have to do is google powrtran.com

I have one I bought second hand, it is the way to go, I use almost all the travel making the swap from prop to jet, I do have a tunnel and I found I could run the front of the foot 3/4" to a full inch above the top of the tunnel. Little less drag and it doesnt stick down as far.
Have you tried calling him directly?

Not sure if you missed the link I posted in post #3, but here is a link for the lift you want and the shipping is only 50 buck.

Maybe you can enlighten me. Im not understanding how you can swap to jet with only 5" of lift(easily)? How would having a tunnel help in this case?
