    Default Unit 1a Moose?

    Are they there? Or is like the Kodiak caribou?Might be something I want to try out...

    They are in 1A&B but so are lots of folks hunting them.Its a case of pay your money and take your chance.
    Now left only to be a turd in the forrest and the circle will be complete.Use me as I have used you

    There are cairbou on Kodiak and people have harvested them and even posted pictures on this forum but I have never seen a pic of a 1A/B moose that has been harvested on here.

    Rob: I wish I still had a picture, but we took a 49" up the Unuk River about 20 years ago. There are usually 3-4 taken every year.

    One every 20 years explains why you went so far north on your last moose hunt.

    Dean you should take a look at hunting moose in 6D as well. Long season, any bull and it is an over the counter tag!

    Saw one cow Memeorial weekend of 2010 on the Klahani. Looking for bears and she walked right up on us. Only one I ever saw

    1B Stikine river drainage had a count of 86 a couple weeks ago by F&G.Drainages from there back to 1A are what hunted the most.The big thing is many of the moose hunting cabins have been in folks family a hundred years and old time locals get moose.
    Now left only to be a turd in the forrest and the circle will be complete.Use me as I have used you

    I've got a friend with a cabin up the river, guess it's time to hit him up.

    Thanks Will. Yep live in Wrangell. Was just curious cause my family has a cabin on the stikine above shakes.
