Check timing, valve adjustment and the carb.

I had the same problem with a new one I bought in 85. Took it back to the dealer and they did a modification to the carb and it was fine. I can't remember exactly what they did though. I had a later model 300 that had a primer button on it that would squirt a little raw fuel in to get it started, and in the winter it wouldn't start without it. Just my experience.

Probably the best thing you could do is just let me take it off your hands for you. Everyone knows Honda's don't last, so this thing is really just a conversation piece anyway, right? Don't let it clutter up your yard any more.

Hey walk- in its not cluttering up my yard just the garge.
And your right about the conversational thing ,everyone says the tirers still has tits on them.have no idea what they are talking about.
It must be a girl bike ,having tits and painted red and all.
If I let you take it off my hands ..it would just clutter up your space.
Can't be worth more than $200. anyways. And i am not going to emty out the garge to get to it for a mere $200. getting to old for that !
