Valdez Halibut and Salmon Charter Needed

I have friends coming up in June and was wondering if there was a forum member that has a charter in Valdez I can use to rent out the whole boat for the day. Would be nice to support a forum member but if there isn't does anyone know of a good charter to use? Thanks so much for the information!! Can't wait for this summer!!! Going to be fun!!

Be very wary of captains all of a sudden canceling on you after you paid them in April for a trip in August... Like cancel on you 3 days before you have 5 people flying up for the lower 48.......

If you want to ride on a nice boat - look at the Otter Dodger.

Any of the top 5 or 10 halibut derby contenders will be a good bet. Book early - most of them are probably mostly booked already.

There won't be any good salmon fishing in PWS out of Valdez in June, except for a few spots where you can catch chums or pinks, so think halibut and rockfish for that time of year...lingcod does not open until July 1. In addition to the other good recommendations you already got, take a look at www.ravencroftlodge.com; also, there are some boats that do overnight/2 day trips and you can keep 2 limits that way and spend a lot more time fishing, as the good halibut zones are 3+ hours by boat each way....
