    Default Cottonwood Creek archery hunt

I was floating/dragging the canoe down cottonwood creek late this last fall from ak club to edlund and saw a whole lot of green heads along the way. I was wondering if anybody knew if it was legal to use a bow and hunt say from Wasilla lake all the way to the mouth? I looked in the regs and didn't see any reason it wouldn't be, but I have been known to miss things once in a while.

Assuming you have your archery cert you should be fine. However, between the lake and AK Club there really isn't any land available for hunting and all of the land along the creek is privately owned to my knowledge until you hit the flats. Beware there are houses everywhere, some you can't see from the water some you can. I wouldn't suggest to anyone to hunt that area as you would need permission from various land owners as to not do something you might regret. Not to mention there are children that play all over along the creek.

You better ask the local police and state trooper about that one. Duckdon
