Default Seems like the forums dying

Before it really gets going! Lets see some of your pics and hear the stories about how you made them!

Here are a couple from the last year or two that I was getting ready for a submission. Really cant wait for the bears to get out in force!

Those are wonderful photo's. All are outstanding but I love the splash of water that you caught as the Elk stepped in the water.

This was taken at the zoo last summer, with my Rebel XT. I am still learning to use it.

Default Yes, the forum is a little slow

It's slow perhaps because the photo size limitation of 32KB.

The photo forum may be slow on the supply side, but I enjoy looking at them.

Lousy photographers like me can really appreciate good camera work.......

It's easy nowadays with the digital cameras. Just take lots of pictures, and pick a few good ones from the bunch. Use a digital SLR camera if you can, and every now and then try a polarizer over the lens on landscape shots. If you use a polarizer, buy the best you can afford: Hoya, B&W, and such. These are extremely expensive, but are the best.

I didn't have a polarizer for the pictures I posted above, but the lighting and colors were very good. I took some in the same area this week, and they didn't look nearly as good because I don't have a polarizer for the lens I used. I ordered one from B&H, and should get it by Monday.
